| SALVAGE FOOD PROGRAM:
We have 120 registered
non-profit agencies who benefit
by this program. One time per
week they may receive food from
this program to help their
clients and/or their
organization. The product
contained thru this program is
non-perishable product and
produce. |
| |
|
PRODUCE: Our
largest program. The
client is registered
as a Santa Cruz
County resident,
given an ID card as
is the case in all
of our food
programs, and is
able to come into
the food bank once
per day to receive
produce, some
non-perishable
product, dairy and
bread (when
available). Being
that produce is
perishable and
because we receive
between 20 and 38
million pounds of
produce per produce
season, we share
this nutritious
commodity with the
State of Arizona and
part of the Nation.

| SIN FRONTERAS/WITHOUT BORDERS:
This program was started November 2003, due to the
millions of pounds of perishable produce, and in order
to help individual clients living in our sister City of
Nogales, Sonora we decided to share this nutritious
product. This program allows clients to receive only
produce and are also able to participate in “Mi Tiendita”. |
| |
| “MI TIENDITA”/ MY LITTLE STORE:
This program is our newest initiated June 2008. Due to
the fact that it is becoming more and more difficult to
receive donated product we decided to purchase salvage
food product from food reclamation centers, price it as
low a we possibly can, in order to help our clients
stretch their food dollars. Everyone is invited to come
in and shop for non-perishable product to include
hygiene, paper products and cleaning product. |
